To those of you who were so kind to send me the recipe exchange:
I'm sorry.
I will not be taking part in the recipe exchange.
Not because I wouldn't love to get some great recipes, but because I am not a great cook.
I am not even a good cook.
It's not that I couldn't someday be a great cook, it's just not that important to me.
A long time ago, at the beginning of my marriage - I realized that my husband eats at a great restaurant every day and no matter what I cook, it will never measure up. Then I had kids.
They hate everything - except tomatoes, celery, goldfish crackers, grapes, yogurt, chicken nuggets, apples, and grilled cheese.
I make the world's best grilled cheese.
Otherwise, my recipe bank is empty.
Love you.
I don't love to cook.
Sorry....

you have so many other talents you don't need to cook "good". my step-mom was the worlds worst cook but she loved me so "good" that i honestly didn't even think about her cooking. her specialty was mexican hotdogs. she would take a hotdog and wrap a corn tortilla around it and then deep fry it. yummo
oh, please! The last two recipes i have added to my recipe book were from you. And I can't wait for you to give me the recipe for that casserole you made us! i could hardly wait until meal times before i scarfed down more helpings. And seriously Ihave never had peas that tasted so great. Really. I am embarassed to ask how you made them because i am sure it was simple and i don't even know how to do that. you are a good cook. at least better than me, but that's not hard.
Apple Pie.
You should give us your recipe.
AMEN SISTA!!
I love to cook but no one eats it. ;) I was brought up on casaroles & goulashes. They (Picky, Micky & Moe) eat nothing but thick mashed potatoes, grilled cheese, hotdogs, and chips. Oh and chicken patties...and anything involving sugar.
Besides, I can't see taking 3 hrs to prepare for a meal that takes 2 hrs to cook just for them to ask for a PB&J. :)
Side note: I think these word verifications are actually Klingon words ;)
It must be tough being married to somebody that works at such a fancy restaurant. I think that would make anybody feel bad about their cooking.
I started to write about what I do with the kids, but it's so long it's needs it's own blog.
