On the way to church yesterday morning, my little princess kept saying, "hamburger..........hamburger.......mmmmmm.........hamburger."
So we look back at her and she's munching on something.
I asked her, "Hamburger? Are you eating something? What's in your mouth?"
(you know how you get panicked thinking about what must be in there, trash, dead bugs, choking hazards)
She just kept chewing.
My husband asked, "Are you eating your boogers?"
She said, "Nooooooo....."
He said, "Lemme see."
She opened up and it seemed like there was nothing in there, but she just kept right on chewing.
So my husband said, "Where did you get that - hamburger?"
She shoved her finger up her nose and said, "Here."

You probably don't really want to know this, but it might come in handy so I'll tell you anyway....
My mom was stumped as to how to break my little brother of eating his, uhm, "hamburgers". She finally had a genius idea. She told him that the next time she saw him eating a booger she was going to make him eat one of her boogers. It worked. He never did it again. And in case you're wondering, my mom's tough. I have no doubt she would have kept up her end of the bargain. =)

Do you ever wonder if your sitting in kiddy boogers? I do. Not at my house because I have never seen F. wipe a booger on anything.
But I have seen kids pick a booger and then put it under tables and chairs. Yucky.
Meems - most of the time I am relieved that it is only boogers, there is so much uglier and more gross stuff out there. I'd sit in a crock pot of my kids' boogers. It's public restrooms that get me.
